Welcome to VIPKid!! Not a teacher yet? Or thinking about becoming a teacher? Great!! This post is for you. I have been a VIPKid teacher for almost a year now, and it has been an overall positive experience for me.
When I first began teaching for VIPKid, I was a bit overwhelmed. I searched for videos and Blogs from experienced VIPKid teachers, and I found some very helpful information to get me through my first few classes. One part of setting up your Account is to create an "Introductory Video." Now, if you are new to VIPKid, you probably still feel a bit uncomfortable with your face on video. Don't worry, you'll get use it very soon! My advice for your Introductory video is to keep it simple! A few other tips to help you in creating your video:

About a year ago I started teaching English online through VIPKid. If you are not familiar with VIPKid, it is an online service that provides English instruction to children in China. To become a VIPKid teacher, there are various trainings and interviews that you must complete, but it is definitely worth it. This post will be about my journey to become a VIPKid teacher, including my “why.” I first learned about VIPKid, in 2019, and always thought it would be a cool side-hustle to bring in some extra income for my family. I mean, teaching English from your couch, yes please! I got more serious about applying to be a VIPKid teacher when the world went into lockdown during the coronavirus, early 2020. I started doing more research about the company and the requirements to teach, and finally got around to signing up, and going through the interviews and training in May/June 2020. I’ve been teaching classes now for almost a year, and honestly, I wish I would have done this years ago. Here are some reasons that I would encourage you to sign up as a VIPKid teacher:
